Your role as a BI Specialist

As a BI Specialist you are responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining advanced Business Intelligence solutions. You work closely with different departments to understand their needs and translate them into effective BI solutions. You have extensive experience with PowerBI or Tableau and other relevant tools. In addition, you are familiar with data modeling, ETL processes and the use of Azure technologies such as Azure Data Factory. 

Your responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing and implementing dashboards and reports.

  • Building data models and optimising data structures.

  • Writing complex formulas for advanced analyses.

  • Execute ETL processes.

  • Working with data lakes and other advanced storage solutions.

  • Collaborate with different teams to translate insights into actionable BI solutions.

  • Ability to understand internal customer needs and respond with appropriate BI solutions.

  • Proactively identify, analyze and solve problems, using creative and innovative approaches.

What you bring:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a BI Specialist.

  • Extensive knowledge of PowerBI, Tableau, PowerQuery or SAS.

  • Extensive knowledge of DAX, M, IML or Python.

  • Experience with data modeling such as SnowFlake, DataVault or StarSchema.

  • Knowledge of storage solutions such as data lakes.

  • Knowledge of ETL processes including Azure Data Factory (ADF), SAS or SSIS.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Team player with excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.

Ideal Candidate:

  • At least 5 years of demonstrable experience as a BI Specialist.

  • Proven track record in designing, developing and implementing BI solutions.

  • In-depth expertise in PowerBI, Tableau, SAS, PowerQuery, DAX and M.

  • Experience with data modeling, ETL processes such as ADF, SAS, SSIS.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and creative approach to challenges.

  • Team player with demonstrable collaboration skills.

  • Demonstrable passion for data-driven decision-making and optimisation.

  • Willingness to continuously learn new technologies and methodologies.

  • Proactive attitude, aimed at achieving measurable results.
