Your role as Test Automation Engineer

As a (senior) Test Automation Engineer you are part of the Test Group and you are involved in state-of-the-art projects for various customers in the high-tech domain. Our projects often use Robot Framework and programming languages such as Python and C#. We believe that innovation is of paramount importance, which is why our test group contributes to research projects that investigate tools and techniques related to the future of testing.

Your responsibilities:

  • Inspiring, coaching and motivating developers to strive for quality and supporting them in developing objective, reproducible and maintainable automatic tests.

  • Setting up and/or maintaining the test framework.

  • Developing new keyword libraries and/or maintaining existing libraries.

  • Contribute to test architecture, test strategy and test specifications.

  • Advisor and sparring partner for customers and stakeholders.

  • Translating strategy into solutions and technological choices.

  • Depending on your wishes and ambitions, you can take on responsibilities and grow in seniority.   

What you bring:

  • You have a completed Bachelor or Master degree, an ISTQB certificate and at least 2 years of work experience with end-to-end test automation in the high-tech domain.

  • You have experience in setting up and/or maintaining test frameworks such as Robot, JUnit or Selenium and are familiar with development in C# and preferably other programming languages ​​such as Python, Java, Tcl, BATCH or Javascript.

  • You are familiar with API testing (SOAP, REST, Postman), GUI testing and preferably also have experience with embedded testing (C, Tcl).

  • You have demonstrable experience with various testing techniques, good knowledge of higher level testing (system integration, component testing) and are familiar with methods such as BDD, keyword driven testing, data driven testing, model based testing and property based testing.

  • You have excellent communication and social skills. A good command of the English language is necessary.
