Your role as a Software Engineer
As a Software Engineer, you work on solutions for (big scaled) high-tech systems. The team works partly from our head office in Best, partly from the customer's location and (if desired) partly remotely.
The tasks are varied and the focus/priority is determined quarterly. From developing interfaces for communication, data transfer between software components and implementation of algorithms and driver development. Up to resolving software issues, testing (GMock, simulations, automation) and developing applications with a graphical UI interface.
Your responsibilities:

Design, implementation and verification of subsystems, modules and components;

Writing structured and maintainable code of high quality;

Maintaining and debugging existing software systems;

Sparring partner for colleagues and stakeholders within and outside the team;
-
Sharing your knowledge, insight and opinion in different meetings (standup, sprint planning, retrospective, design/architecture sessions) to ensure that the project moves in the right direction;

Code review and guiding (junior) engineers;
-
Depending on your wishes and ambitions, you can take on more responsibilities and grow in your seniority.
What you bring:
-
You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Technical Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded systems, Physics and/or Mathematics;

You have at least 5 years of experience in software development and excellent knowledge of C and Python. You are also familiar with OO and preferably have some experience with C++.

You are used to delivering high-quality code and are familiar with methods and techniques such as Unit Testing, UML, Design Patterns, TDD/BD and Agile.

You have an excellent command of the English language (both oral and written).
